Prepping For Travel

Going to the East Coast here shortly for a friend's wedding, since travel is so darn expensive I figured combining it with our long overdue vacation was the way to go!  Of course, to me, Vacations aren't much vacation when you have to plan them out!  But planning is a must in order to jam pack all sorts of fun in a short amount of time.  Hotels, Flights, and Sights are booked and mapped out.  I hate flying commercially, I'd have my own plane if I were rich and along those same lines, I'd also have my own boat!!!  This will be a fun little trip, it's been a couple years since last I set foot on that side of country.  I can't wait...hope I don't get lost!

Tim Burton Exhibit! (no pics allowed)

So I have always been a fan of local artistry, but I really never had much of an appreciation for Tim Burton aside from what rubbed off from the wife's appreciation for his work. This weekend has changed this! After visiting the local museum I realized that he has sooooo much work out, and his earlier stuff was, in my opinion, just as good as his later stuff. My favorite piece of art in his exhibit by far was a sign of his that won a contest for the city of Burbank's anti littering campaign (sign is near the top of article). This sign is much more impressive as a in real life and no picture could do it justice. I must admit that I felt like a little kid walking around the exhibit, as a form of entertainment this to me this is what art is supposed to be about. Thank you Tim Burton for reminding me of what a care free Angeleno I once was!
