Lou Bunyan!

My GF's Mom has two trees that have become a nuisance and unfortunately the previous tenants/homeowners didn't maintain these trees properly and thus they need to come down. They are very close to the home, and also right by the property line next to some P.O.S. fence that is mostly held up by said trees. Today I chose to battle the smaller tree by myself, and just for kicks I chose to use no power tools. I used an Axe, Sledge Hammer and Wedge, and a Come-Along. I really wanted to uproot this tree with my beast of a Truck, but unfortunately this yard is really tiny so I was forced to use a come-along attached to the back of my truck. A couple of hours and blisters later the whole tree along with it's roots is in the bed of my truck. Not bad for a days work, even after a late start.....I had to save some stranded kitties at the local mountains before chopping down the tree!!!!!!!

I am just kidding about the whole Kittie thing, I was just trying to show off my photoshop skills.

Project!

I am still waiting for a really cold night here. Every night shift I have been on I keep a close eye on the forecasted weather. You see we have plenty of parking lot space, and an ample amount of water available, plus a golf cart used by operations. So if it is ever gonna drop below freezing you will definitely see me out there with a fire house making an ice rink for the golf cart! Although I doubt that would ever happen, but one can at least hope!

I Knew It!

That's what I get for voting. Now I have to do some jury duty, which I am really not so happy about! This sucks, at least it will give me some time away from work! Either way this still sucks, this better not affect my pay, and if I have to pay for parking or get a ticket for not paying said parking I am gonna have to kick some government tail!

Christmas Riding!!!!

So my plan today was to do some motorcycle riding! We went out for a motorcycle ride to my parents to start out the day. We made a quick pit stop at a local convenient store (7/11) to pick up a Santa Hat that I made the girl wear for the ride. It was fun and not really all that cold! There were other riders out there that were thinking the same thing too, so that was cool. We made it to my parents and ate some good food. I was so stuffed that I had to take a little nap. After that we rode over to Compton and kicked it with our favorite partner in crime Nikki and her family. We had some more good food and chatted away for a while. This was a very good Christmas!!!!

Sunny Day!

It is sunny and warm enough to go riding, and being that I have not touched my motorcycle in months I think today is a good day to break out the riding gear (my gloves and helmet) and roar down the road! I think I need some motorcycle pics too, let's see if I can make that happen! Happy Riding.

MY NAME IS NOT GEORGIE!

So anyways I will start off by saying that our party this last Saturday was pretty kick butt. I am glad I took the day off for this party at our house. We had a bunch of friends over and we did a christmas theme with the whole gift exchange thing with lots and lots of food. It was pretty cool, it was kind of a pot luck with everyone bringing different dishes. This made the festivities way cooler. My GF's cousin brought the bestest gift of the night, and we ended up with it. There was a theme, and the festivities held true to it. I believe the theme was that of an X rated nature, and it really payed off in a way nobody would had expected. It was very hilarious, and fun. My GF's photoshop skills payed off big time, and let me just say that an LCD screen on a computer can lead to some interesting camera pics that will look very realistic in the right hands. The only downer was one broken wine glass, and that we ran out of the Tequila a little on the early side. Next time, we will have enough I promise.

Ok...so tonight I am at work and one of my co-workers did the food run. As he called me to find out what I wanted to eat, he speaks into his phone my name (one of those voice operated cell phones) the phone replied "Did you want to call GEORGIE....." and then it dialed my number. WTF man, that's not my name, my name is Jorge.

Most Interesting Experience....in a while!

So the GF asked me to pick up some prescriptions for her, to begin with I did not really want to go since I am sure it is not allowed to pick up somebody else's meds. Although on her behalf the pharmacy said it was ok when she called it in. Anywho, she resently had a checkup and they decided to give her some med's because her cholesterol was a little bit on the high side. Not that big of a deal since she eats healthier than me, it is basically high because of her family history. Too bad we can't all come from a superior gene pool like mine!!!! As I proceeded to pick them up, (keeping in mind that she did call to tell them someone else was picking them up for her) they proceeded to tell me that these pills were for MY high cholesterol, since I was already uncomfortable for being there I just stayed quite listening to them tell me how to take these pills. Oh, did I mention I was picking up two prescriptions for her....I thought to myself, "Gee it is gonna get quite interesting when they have to explain to me why I am taking birth control". So anyways, that will be the last time I do that! Woman...get your own drugs from now on!

L.A. Auto Show!

So this year auto show was a little early for some reason, and I almost missed out. Luckily I have some practice with procrastination, and was able to make it on the last day, and last couple of hours. My girl and her Cousin, who got some pretty darn good shots I might add, met up with my Brother after he got out of work. We walked around while talking some shop...my Bro' giving me the inside scoop on the new Lexus' Models. It was pretty darn cool! Oh yeah, the coolest car last night at the auto show was the new Challenger, it's just a concept for now but I am sure it will come out soon!

Imagine...

I got to rest a little today, however it is only temporary. Work has been a pain lately for reasons I really don't want to get in to, and yes if I did it would sound like whining. However since today is my day off, I feel better already. In fact this is the beginning of my "long change" and I won't have to go in till next Friday night! So I guess I am over it. So hopefully tonight's party will be fun, and hopefully they have an open bar. Oh and by the way in honor of Nathan I did wear a suit to my own company's Christmas party, and I also plan on wearing one tonight. I almost didn't wear it last time, but after Nathan's entry on the whole subject I just couldn't pass up on an oppurtunity to break out my suit!

Christmas Party Time

Yesterday was my company's christmas party and it kind of sucked. First of all it really can't suck all that much since I am sure lots of $$$ was spent, but many things went wrong. First of all the company provides a room at the hotel where the party is held, and it has been held at the same place forever. It is held at the best hotel in Hungtington Beach, but somehow the reservations were messed up. Anyhow we ended up staying at a hotel that is just as nice right next door, the problem with that is that girls can't walk in heels so we had to wait for a shuttle that showed up really late. This was even more frustrating when the party was over and we had to wait for the shuttle van to take us back. The music really sucked too, the DJ had nothing but disco playing all night. The only thing good was the open bar, I wonder if anyone is held accountable for this. Oh well, it is the holidays and I really can't complain all too much!
