I had to drill out the head of the screw to remove the cover, luckily there was enough exposed screw after removing the cover that I was able to use a set of lock-pliers to spin out the screw. My first attempt at removing the stripped screw was to use a hacksaw to convert the screw into a slotted head screw, this too was not strong enough and stripped! Oh well, at least I had an excuse to buy me some new tools! (I got a hacksaw, and some new screwdrivers, and a locking plier) But don't tell Senia!
I still need to clean the carb since it runs only with partial choke, next time I will just wait until I have the correct and proper equipment in good running order.

Loc-Tite
I am such a smart person that I decided to use some loc-tite on some miscellaneous hardware for an old chain saw. I used it this weekend to knock down a tree at the GF's mom house, it was really big and stubborn with the tree half dry. I went through a lot of oil for the chain and being an old chain saw there is no auto-luber. Anyhow the air filter and the pull starter would rattle off so I had to use it without the filter, I had to clean the carb later but it's still not that clean. I decided to fix the rattling off problem with some new screws and some loc-tite. Unfortunately after feeding some new line for the pull starter that I wound the wrong way I failed to test it. After an hour or so I figured that I would run it only to find out that the pull starter would not grip cause it's spinning the wrong way. Unfortunately the loc-tite had set and I stripped one of the screws, so now I have to figure out a way to machine it out. Right now I am trying to use a set of pliers around the head of the screw.

We're Online
So we finally made it online after a few bumps along the road, but we made it nonetheless! I am tired and my feet hurt, but it is all worth it. Nothing like feeling a sense of accomplishment. Let me set the A/C for 65 degrees. J/K!

Wrong Day to Not Wear a Belt!
We got called for a startup with just myself and the CO on shift, so I had to do all of the gruntwork myself. This sucked big time, I need a nap or something. We did get a 3rd guy toward the afternoon but by then most of the harder physical stuff was done. Oh well I hope we stay online for a while cause I could sure use some OT $$$! Oh yeah, about the whole belt thing...I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets depending on the work I am doing and during a startup I usually have my pockets full (valve wrenches, leather gloves, leatherman, and radio) maybe some other random stuff too, I struggled pulling my pants up all day! The only nice thing was the ride home on the motorcycle! I should probably keep a spare belt at work! Woman...get me a belt!
En Espanol Please!
So I ran across this today and got a little laugh! Go check it out and you might get a laugh too!
So the weather is nice enough again to be riding. It is pretty much like all year round except that I really don't wear any gear, so my riding is limited to nicer days. It feels good riding, and nothing seems to wake me up like the cool morning breeze that is still around with the june gloom and all. Happy Riding!

Your Shires are Tiny!
For some reason I got tongue tied this morning when telling the Senia I washed her car last night. I took in her car to work so that I could wash it up a little. It is so nice looking now, specially after the tire shine stuff I failed to describe was applied.
Work is work, the summer run still isn't here so we have not run yet! Management likes finding BS stuff to keep us busy, and labeling is the latest and greatest. They are on a labeling frenzy and want us to place pipemarkers and tag valves everywhere, this is of course so that they know what they are looking at when they come into the plant.

Bowling!
Bowling was fun, we went with a couple of friends on Sunday and we are going again with a little bit of a bigger group on Friday! I am slightly out of practice and need to get my skills back. The local bowling alley is actually pretty cheap, but there is no music so it kinda sucks on that end. We will see, I will give it another chance.

All Done!
My trips to the Dentist are done for now, well at least the painful ones! I had my crown installed today and the temporary one removed. It was kind of funny, my mustache was getting in the way while they were doing stuff to my teeth. I think them pulling on my facial hair was more painful than the actual teeth work. I still have a tooth that is missing, but I think I might put that off till next year. We'll see in a few weeks, depending on how much overtime I work this summer will determine how much disposable income I will have!

Brakes!
So I changed the brakes out on the GF's car, actually my brother did about 90% of the work. Her Nissan had been making funny brake noises from the WEAR INDICATORS for the last couple of days and she was acting like her car was about to fall apart, I tried explaining that she was ok for a few more weeks but she had none of that! They still had some pad left on them, but whatever....it is said and done! I took a little nap when I went home from work this morning (been working the nightshifts for the last couple days) and took off to my mom's house to do the Brakes. I usually do any and all car work there due to the proximity of professional assistance (my brother) not to mention that the auto parts store is also near by. So with a nice new set of metallic pads and the rotors nice and turned, her car should stop like a champ!
Oh yeah and I am still slowly recovering from the sea monster attack, freakin' painful toxins in my body! I am drinking a lot of water to help speed up the process!
