Dogs Love Trucks!

Visited my brother the other day, had to leave the house cause there was too much estrogen going around! My wife hosted a party for a friend about to get married and they were getting the last minute stuff ready. I didn't wanna be intrusive so I went out to hang out with my brother for a bit. Got to take a few pictures of Roxy all grown up now, so I put her in the bed of my truck (rental truck, my car is still in the shop and it's been like a month now). So here she is enjoying what all dogs love to do!!!

Weekend Stuff

Went out to the gun range, and shot off sound rounds! Got to try out the 500 magnum, really nice revolver. I kinda of almost feel like owning one, hopefully I can find a used one out there somewhere for a fair price. Just got my new stock for the shotgun, I opted for the Knoxx specops one, it should make shooting a little easier for the wife. Anywho weekend was short, had to work most of it!

Exhausted

Too much work and too much heat! It has been really hot here the last few days, and I am just glad my that I have been working nights. I was just plain old physically exhausted, still am today from the busiest 2 nights in a very long time! I need another nap!

Insurance Company 0, The Lou 1!!!!

Since I haven't blogged in a while then I guess I have some catching up to do. My car got hit while it was parked in a shopping center, took car in and it has been in the shop since 7/2. Luckily the person that hit my car was nice enough to leave a note but that is where all niceties end. I immediately called her, yes it was a she, and I let her know that I was taking it in to a shop and was gonna get a rental and that she should immediately call her insurance. She got angry and said "I'm not paying for your rental....blah blah, something something", I was so angry but I told her this conversation was heading somewhere it shouldn't and that it was not for me or her to decide this matter, it's up to the insurance. So I immediately reported this to both my insurance, and hers (state farm) and got a claim number. I have documented all my communications with shop/insurance/rental and I am sooo glad that I did. They just approved the work to begin on the car a whole week and half later, but they were refusing to pay rental for the first 4 days (the 4th day finally being the day they got a hold of their customer). I was sooooo angry, the only delay on assuming liability was on their end...heck I had to provide them with their own customer's contact info. I was sooooo ready to pounce on State Farm, I was about to file a complaint with the California Department of Insurance and take the lady to small claims court over the 4 days of rental fees! I took a little break from fuming and figured I would give them a chance to redeem themselves, I called them back and once State Farm realized that I wasn't gonna be messing around they finally approved the first 4 days. UGH, freakin giving me headaches over a very small amount of money, damages to the car are $2500! I knew it was gonna be bad, glad I filed a report with the DMV on the very first day, hope this lady that hit me realizes that maybe next time she should be more careful! Hope she hasn't reported this and gets her license revoked!
