Hunting & Shooting

Got to go hunting and camping this weekend with a couple of the guys! Slowly but surely I am getting to use most of my camping gear. Next time I will not forget to take my talkabout radios, some of us in the group don't have cell phones or reception in our hangout just outside of Temecula...they should prove fairly valuable! This time I only went through six boxes of shotgun ammo, and all of it was used on the clay pigeons!!! I could have gone through more but the battery ran out for the clay thrower. Hiking was pretty fun too, but I think I need to find some dedicated hiking shoes that are rugged, waterproof, but most importantly light. I am getting tired of using heavy work boots on the long haul.

New Things

So I was asked to show someone around at work yesterday, she so happens to be in charge of our safety program. Well as we approach the end of the short elevator trip to the top she proceeds to tell me she is afraid of heights, dumbfounded, I freeze and just stand! Waiting, I'm told "You First" so I start walking out of the elevator. I am then instructed to slow down and to not leave her behind, because things will get messy (euphemism)! I slow down as she grabs on to my arm, not knowing myself how to react or respond to this, I continue walking. She stops me, and proceeds to tell me, well go on ahead and let me know if everything looks alright. WTH, why am I wasting my time...this goes on for about 3 hours! I am still amazed and still don't know how to divulge what happened here! Why does this stuff happen to me!!

Rain and Stuff

It's pretty windy, but the rain is not that heavy. The weather seems to be behaving weird lately...it was hot for a few days, then windy, cold a few days ago, and now the rain! Oh well can't complain too much. Saw the movie Fast Five a few days ago, it was ok action wise but I felt like I was watching a rip-off to the Italian Job. Speaking of Fast and Furious, I was reading up on Operation Fast and Furious and can't help but feel like I am the only one saw this coming. Hoping for the day that we hold our public officials responsible for their misdeeds!

Memories...NYC

On this momentous day, the world is a little more in balance and those affected by the atrocities committed by him can feel some retribution. I can't help but remember my time spent in the big apple! In 99' I visited the city, visited the landmarks, had some food in little Italy, but the only thing that I keep remembering at this time, is walking several blocks to the stadium as Sinatra serenaded us. I wish I could remember who they played against...all I remember is the UTZ potato chip sign, and having a beer and a pretzel (wasn't 21 yet)! Thanks for the memories NYC and I hope this will help heal the wound that was opened when the towers went down.
