Although I think my new favorite pie is Nathan's homemade pie, it was made from squash grown right in his backyard, you just cant get any fresher than that! That was some good stuff. This year my girlfriend dressed up as Harley Quinn, and we held a last minute costume-fest last night piecing the outfit together. I had to run out late last night to buy some last minute supplies for the arts and crafts. The extent of our decorations is going to be some pumpkins that we have yet to carve, I am soooo glad that nothing fancy was done outside! I don't even know if we have any candles or flashlights to place inside those pumpkins.

Apparently I'm Sweet Like That!
So I drove the girls car to work today, I was really beat this morning and did not really want to ride in today. You see for some reason it takes me longer to get to work when I ride. Basically it's cause I can never find my gear in the morning. The helmet, gloves, and keys always seem to elude me! So, as most of you know I don't really like the car cause it's too girlie, and apparently it smells girlie too. The security guard at work asked my why the car smelly fruity, he knows it doesn't belong to me, why the freak is he asking! I am gonna have to start laying down "the beats" before they start calling me a fruit...instead of just smelling like one!

Road Trip
Sorry this post is a couple weeks old but I have to talk about it....My Girlfiend and a close friend of ours attended a wedding that was held up in Pitsburg, CA which is surprisingly close to Napa, my favorite place in the world. So we decided on making the trip up there worth it by staying in Napa. We rented a nice car, all of us took about a week off from work, and headed up there on our road trip. We decided on getting a head start and took off a day early which meant leaving around 9pm. This wasn't a problem since I am no stranger to road trips, and can stay awake with a bag of jerky and a coke! As we were going through the grapevine I noticed a Semi that burnt out his brakes, it was cool, it was smoking really bad and looked like it was surrounded by fog...except that it was smoke! I woke up my girlfriend to see it but she missed it, but I did manage to wake her up in time to smell that familiar smell when you burn out the brakes or clutch. I panicked trying to get a window cracked open to get rid of the smell, instead I fully opened the rear window (it was an automatic rear window that opened with one click of the button) almost letting the dress to be used by our friend at the wedding, the whole ventouri effect at 80 MPH almost sucked it right out. It took me a while to get it, but the dress was saved.
The rest of the trip was a blur so here are a few of my favorite pics that whole week! I am conveniently in none of these!

Fun With Zip Ties!
I finally got around to installing a modem on a computer I set out to fix about 6 months ago....I am reminded once again how unreliable I am sometimes!!!! So I popped open the old computer when I noticed the motherboard was loose. I did not really want to struggle fixing it, so a quick easy fix sounded like a good idea. Originally it was attached with some flimsy plastic clips that no longer worked, zip ties sounded like a sturdier and great solution! After finishing all this I brought the whole thing in to work where I blew out all the dust. Our Instrument Air Header is filtered and runs somewhere around 100#, it works great for detailing cars too!
I went to a local Tower Records today since apparently they are going out of business. I was hoping at getting a couple of steals with the closeout bargains and all, but it is all a sham. Those guys must think people are stupid, everything was marked up to full value totally negating the discounts. What a freakin' disappointment. On the plus side of things, I finally broke down and bought some new stuff to get "Tednet" a little more up to date with the technology standards of today. Tomorrow I will have something to do, updating my wireless network and all!

Slow Time of the Year!
I like it when it is cold, but this is the time where work starts to slow down and not much goes on. I did find myself useful today and washed down our golf cart, next will be my motorcycle! I need to still get the oil changed on that thing. I am just a terrible rider. Speaking of riding, I really have not done much of that lately. I need to break out some of my riding gear to help with this cooler weather, especially since most of my riding is spent during the very cool hours of the day! I seemed to have missed out on another motorcycle with some of the guys here at work, for some reason they like choosing days when I already have plans. Maybe next month's ride will be scheduled at a more opportune time for the Lou!!!!

Straight Out of Lynwood!!!!
Weird Al is from Lynwood just like me! So I am going to link this video that I think is funny!
On more pertinent news my truck will be fixed soon. So I won't be stuck to the bike anymore. My dad finally found a place that rebuilt my transfer case on the cheap side for only $400! This sure beats any price I would have found or would have been willing to pay. The biggest thanks goes out to my brother who actually diagnosed it, and did all the work. It goes back on the truck this friday.

Drunk In Napa Valley!
Again! Somehow, we started so good....We got massages at some really good place. I believe this was the best deep tissue massage I have ever gotten. Then after dinner it just sort of degenerated to just drinking the vino. This was definitely a good Friday the 13th.

Spotting The Source!
Yesterday afternoon we spotted some of the same kids that were seen hanging around our house last night purchasing the smack! We took some pictures of the kids smoking it and I emailed to their principal. We also took down the plate number of the dealers car w/ a description and gave it to the authorities. I am sure they are still sitting on this and doing nothing, I don't even know why I bother. Maybe I should just get me a scattergun and start resolving this the right way! Anywho, I am still waiting on a call from the principal, who I guess doesn't care either.

Hoodlum Kids!
Last night after coming home from a late dinner we noticed some kids hanging out in our lawn and something was definitely not right, it did not look right, and their behaviour was odd. So I immediately searched the perimeter of the house and the GF called the authorities. I immediately noticed that a lawn chair in our back yard was broken, and might have been used to make a quick escape. I then asked the kids who I initially spotted some minor questions, got a plate # on one of their cars, trying to not be confrontational hoping they would still be here when the police showed up. About 20 minutes later the kids are gone, and the police show up. I showed them everything I had seen, and that was about the end of that. I did call the landlord that night, but he was obviously asleep. The next morning I had shown him what had happened, and he told me what he had noticed about a week ago. He apparently found a baggie of weed, and a scale in a part of the house he maintain, basically a gated driveway...which is where it looked like the kids hopped the fence to. Now why he didn't tell me, I don't know? But had I known this info, I might have stepped up the enforcing and kicked some tail.

Big Freakin' Avocado!
I could not help but to be mesmerised by a very freakishly large avocado I saw for sale at Pike Street Market a couple of weeks ago when I was in the Northwest. I purchased only one, and gave it to Nathan and Christina. I kind of wanted one for myself, but since I was flying back I didn't want any problems since I am sure I already fit many profiles, plus I could see how that avocado could have been misconstrued for some nuclear device!!!! But anyhow, I was inspired enough by this avocado that I had to ask somebody about it. So I went to California's website on the fruit, and asked about this so called Florida avocado which is all the info I got when I bought it. Their response was very prompt, but not all that informative. They did provide me a link to another avocado website maintained by a local University. This new source of info was very useful (although not user friendly), it did have tons of pics. I even think I found what I was looking for, it seems it might be a variety called the Lula avocado. The Lula Avocado does come from Florida, and is very big, so I think this might be it! I sure wish the sellers of fruits and veggies knew where their stuff came from!

Plugging My Space!
So I finally got convinced to get a myspace account again, I got rid of it since I never really used it about a year ago! And now I have one. So if you guys are interested out there, here is my link to Myspace. I already found most of you, but if anyone is out there and would like to add me then let me know! But other than that not much has been going on!

I Am The Man.
Or so I am told. I met up with Flint and Steph over at Nathan's, and I will have to admit it was real nice getting back together and meeting new friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Steph's son Dylan too, who by far is the coolest kid in the world. Basically cause he hasn't learned my name yet, and instead calls me "The Man", which has a nice ring to it! So if anyone else out there would like to call me "The Man" I am more than willing to give it a try, hopefully it will stick! Anyhow, I am here back home safely and will be working the night shift tonight. The home was here in one piece, and thanks to my dad who came by almost every day while I was gone to get my mail. I am also glad we flew out of Long Beach Airport and not LAX, Long Beach is far less crowded and so much closer that I think I was at home within 30 minutes of touching down.
